For a girl we are still settled on Lucy (of Syracuse) Ignatius (of Antioch). But if a boy it looks like Basil (of Moscow)
Wenceslas (of the
Christmas Carol). But, of course, we do in reality have 8 days from the birth of the child to decide. So, all of this could change again.
Ooooh! Great names!
ReplyDeleteThanks! We like them, too. My mom though... Well, I think they are too Orthodox for her.
ReplyDeleteGood choices !
ReplyDeleteOur youngest is "Abigail Lucy Faye" - Abigail because of it`s meaning in hebrew of "Father rejoiced at the birth", Lucy after the Saint, and Faye after my mother-in-law, and also as an anglicised version of St Fotini. She approaches the chalice as Abigail , though.
How much longer before the baby is due ?
A c-section has been scheduled for Oct 7. the due date is Oct. 14. Baby dropped Tuesday night.
ReplyDeleteAren't Lucy and Fotini the Latin and Greek names of the same Saint?
